About the Course
Combine your interest in sport and coaching with a major or minor of your choice, and stand out from the crowd. The Bachelor of Sport identifies and explores key aspects of sport and the role it plays in the community. What you will study Foundation studies in movement and disciplines associated with sport and coaching are commenced, and elective studies begun. Year 2 will focus on content and pedagogy associated with educating and coaching in a sporting context. Studies in minors will continue, while job seeking skills and employment opportunities are developed. Specific content and pedagogical understanding continue in the final year of study, whilst elective minors are completed. A workplace or research project will provide the capstone experience. Graduates will also have options to pursue accredited postgraduate study in Education, and professional programs in Sport or other professions to align with their evolving career objectives. This degree It aims to equip students with the work ready skills and knowledge to engage with a range of sporting environments, including coaching, game development, management and operations and program delivery.
