About the Course

Gain a sophisticated understanding of the full range of cultural, theoretical, social, political and economic issues underlying the art gallery and museum system. This degree is taught in collaboration with leading institutions and art spaces and offers unique access to practising artists and exhibition spaces for students who wish to specialise in contemporary art. You can choose units of study such as contemporary curating, taught in partnership with a range of contemporary art spaces; art and curating, taught at the Art Gallery of New South Wales; curating specialist areas including Asian art, Indigenous art and photography; or curatorial lab, giving you hands-on exhibition curating experience.
