About the Course

Gain the knowledge and practical experience to work as a professional clinical psychologist through the Master of Clinical Psychology (MCP). With expert supervision in clinics, teaching hospitals and community settings, the course will give you the skills to work in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of psychological disorders. The MCP involves two years of full-time study. You will develop a theoretical foundation through coursework taught by leading academic staff at the University of Sydney. Then, you can put this to the test in real situations through 1200 hours of clinical placements, both in our on-campus Psychology Clinic as well as outstanding teaching hospitals like Westmead Hospital and the Children's Hospital at Westmead. Finally, your learning will be bolstered by the opportunity to specialise with a research-based project in your own are of interest.
